Job Description
The position involves leading site design for industrial rail facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative infrastructure solutions, managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and supporting business development efforts within a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site design for industrial facilities such as railyards, maintenance buildings, fueling stations, and offices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative infrastructure solutions
- Manage project tasks and timelines to ensure successful project delivery
- Mentor junior staff and support their professional development
- Contribute to business development by cultivating client relationships and supporting proposal development
Requirements
- Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering or be eligible to obtain one in Minnesota.
- Have experience leading site design for industrial facilities such as railyards, maintenance and service buildings, locomotive fueling stations, and administrative offices.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including experts in architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering or infrastructure project design.
- Be capable of growing project management skills and mentoring junior staff.
- Be willing to contribute to business development efforts by cultivating client relationships and supporting proposal development.
- Successfully complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
