Job Description
A transportation planning role focused on community engagement, project development, and design documentation within a collaborative, employee-owned firm, offering opportunities to work on urban and transportation projects while engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with community and stakeholders through meetings, workshops, open houses, and online forums.
- Assist in developing schematic designs, corridor studies, and transportation and urban planning projects.
- Create visual communication and marketing materials, including graphics for clients.
- Collaborate with municipal and transportation planners and engineers on planning and design tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in community and stakeholder engagement, including conducting meetings, workshops, open houses, managing online engagement forums, and focus groups.
- Ability to develop communication and marketing materials, including graphics, to effectively communicate with diverse clients and audiences.
- Experience assisting with the development of schematic designs, corridor studies, and transportation and urban planning projects.
- Ability to collaborate with municipal and transportation planners and engineers in a team environment.
- Proficiency in visual communication and graphic development for planning and transportation projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills to reach and engage with a diverse audience of stakeholders and community groups.
- Willingness to work in a flexible work environment, including 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
- Educational background or experience relevant to transportation planning, urban planning, or related fields (implied, as the role involves planning documentation and project development).
- Ability to complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
