Job Description
This internship offers undergraduate civil engineering students hands-on experience in municipal infrastructure design, including roadway, utility, and stormwater projects, working alongside multidisciplinary professionals in a structured summer program.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with civil infrastructure design for roadway, utility, and stormwater management projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering professionals on public and private projects
- Support project work at office or on-site locations
- Participate in formal software training and learning seminars
- Contribute to community connectivity and safety enhancement projects
Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age as of May 30, 2026, due to responsibilities that may require the operation of a motorized vehicle on behalf of TKDA.
- Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Candidates must have an interest in municipal infrastructure design.
- Candidates must be available to work 40 hours per week with occasional overtime throughout the summer of 2026 from mid-May through mid-August.
- Candidates must be able to work primarily from the office or an assigned project site, with the flexibility to accommodate hybrid work arrangements if necessary.
- Upon acceptance of a conditional offer of employment, candidates must complete a standard pre-employment background screening, which includes Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
