Job Description
A Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Sword Health develops and deploys AI and ML solutions to create personalized digital healthcare treatments, including end-to-end care management systems and AI Care Specialists, to improve clinical quality and accessibility across various therapeutic domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI and ML solutions for personalized clinical care.
- Design and build end-to-end AI treatment management systems covering assessment, intervention, and monitoring.
- Build and refine AI components such as prompt engineering, RAG implementations, and model fine-tuning.
- Create agentic workflows and integrate generative AI and classical machine learning techniques based on project needs.
- Contribute to improving digital healthcare quality and accessibility through AI innovations.
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Proficiency in developing AI and ML solutions that handle end-to-end AI treatment management systems, including initial assessment, intervention selection, and progress monitoring across various therapeutic domains.
- Experience with prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementations, model fine-tuning, and agentic workflows.
- Ability to leverage both generative AI and classical machine learning depending on the problem requirements.
- Strong understanding of AI and ML techniques applicable to personalized clinical care at scale.
- Experience working on projects that contribute to delivering digital care with improved clinical quality and accessibility.
- Ability to work remotely with flexible working hours and manage work from home effectively.
- Candidates must be willing to work in a role that does not offer relocation assistance.
