Job Description
A Senior Machine Learning Engineer responsible for developing and implementing AI solutions to improve patient outcomes and support Sword Health's mission to create a pain-free world through innovative healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning models for AI Care solutions
- Optimize and maintain ML algorithms to improve system performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into products
- Conduct research to advance AI and machine learning techniques relevant to healthcare
- Analyze large datasets to extract insights and improve model accuracy
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, with a focus on AI Care applications.
- Proven experience in software engineering, including designing, building, and maintaining scalable machine learning systems.
- Strong programming skills in relevant languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Solid understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Experience with data processing, feature engineering, and data pipeline development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and clinical teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or related roles.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, statistical models, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for deploying machine learning models.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Physical and mental ability to perform the duties required for a senior machine learning engineer role.
