Job Description
The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for managing the global procure-to-pay process, ensuring accurate invoice processing, payment accuracy, and system efficiency in a multi-entity environment, while collaborating closely with accounting and finance teams to support timely financial closes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the global procure-to-pay (P2P) process in a multi-entity environment
- Ensure AP execution quality, invoice throughput, and payment accuracy
- Maintain tax correctness and AP-related close discipline
- Optimize system-enabled efficiency within the P2P process
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting and FP&A teams
- Ensure accurate departmental allocations, clean accruals, and proper budget alignment to support monthly close
Requirements
- Own the global procure-to-pay (P2P) process in a centralized, multi-entity environment, ensuring AP execution quality, invoice throughput, payment accuracy, tax correctness, and AP-related close discipline.
- Ensure system-enabled efficiency and cross-functional collaboration within the procure-to-pay process.
- Partner with Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams to ensure accurate departmental allocations, clean accruals, and proper budget alignment within P2P systems.
- Support a predictable T+5 monthly close process.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, procure-to-pay processes, or related financial operations.
- Have a thorough understanding of invoice processing, payment accuracy, tax compliance, and AP close discipline.
- Be able to work in a multi-entity environment with a focus on system-enabled efficiency.
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Candidates must be able to work remotely and have flexible working hours.
- Candidates must be willing to work from home and be available for discretionary vacation as per company policy.
