Key Responsibilities
Originate and develop new business within the renewable energy transferable tax credit market (ITC, PTC, 45Z, 45X), owning and actively managing a pipeline from sourcing through closing
Build and deepen relationships with Fortune 1000 corporates, financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and infrastructure funds, while engaging both tax credit buyers and supply-side stakeholders through strategic outreach and ongoing advisory
Source high-quality tax credit opportunities by proactively engaging renewable energy developers, project finance sponsors, and infrastructure investors
Structure tailored transaction solutions and lead deal execution and negotiations from term sheet through closing, coordinating cross-functionally with Legal, Operations, Trading, Supply Origination, and Corporate Advisory teams
Provide clients with market intelligence, pricing guidance, and regulatory insights, while developing high-quality client-facing materials (pitch decks, market updates, transaction summaries, buyer-specific analyses)
Drive revenue growth by identifying whitespace opportunities through market analysis and creative product positioning, representing the firm at industry conferences and client workshops, contributing thought leadership, and ensuring seamless client onboarding and lifecycle management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (e.g. in Business, Finance, Tax)
2-6 years of experience in a client-facing role within Accounting, structured finance, consulting, or capital markets (Big 4, advisory, or sell-side experience strongly preferred)
Working knowledge of renewable energy markets, project finance, tax equity structures, or transferable tax credit mechanics under the Inflation Reduction Act
Proven track record of originating or supporting closed transactions, with strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and market research capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and develop high-quality client materials (presentations, one-pagers, transaction memos)
Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales enablement tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email sequencing), with a general comfort using automation or light scripting to improve workflows
Based or willing to relocate to New York.
Benefits & Perks
STX intends on offering the selected candidate a competitive base salary withing the range of $90.000 USD – $125.000 based on several objective factors such as relevant experience, location, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications. The candidate may also be eligible for discretionary compensation as determined annually within the company fiscal year.
