Job Description
This role involves leading the design and development of advanced digital platforms and trading systems for environmental commodities, utilizing AI and modern architectures to enable efficient, scalable, and innovative decarbonization solutions within a dynamic, global team.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable, maintainable core systems for trading and climate tech platforms
- Implement and modernize trade-lifecycle systems using distributed, event-driven architectures with AI integration
- Collaborate across teams to translate complex climate challenges into effective technical solutions
- Mentor team members to improve engineering quality and promote best practices
- Drive platform thinking by creating reusable services to reduce future complexity and ensure architectural excellence
Requirements
- Ten (10) years of experience in software development within product-led companies.
- Experience working comfortably across the full technology stack including Infrastructure-as-Code, serverless architectures, and frontend development.
- Proficiency with Typescript, Python, Node.js, AWS, AWS CDK, Terraform, Kinesis, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in architectural leadership, including defining standards and mentoring team members.
- Strong systems-thinking skills with the ability to tackle complex legacy logic and architect future green tech solutions.
- Ambitious and self-driven personality with a natural hunger for solving challenging problems others might avoid.
