Job Description
This role involves engaging with clients to understand their needs, developing trading strategies, and managing a profitable trading book focused on environmental commodities and decarbonization solutions. It requires building relationships, negotiating deals, and providing market insights within the sustainability and energy markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly
- Develop and execute trading strategies with the team
- Manage a profitable trading book
- Build and develop a customer portfolio within the Polish market
- Negotiate and execute transactions with new and existing counterparties
- Structure complex deals and collaborate with internal teams for execution
- Monitor market developments and identify commercial opportunities
- Provide market intelligence and insights to clients
- Work with analysts and colleagues to align trading strategies with market conditions and client needs
Requirements
- Relevant professional experience in sales, trading, business development, or account management
- Experience within sustainability, energy markets, or financial services is considered a strong advantage
- Strong commercial acumen combined with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to identify opportunities, assess potential, and translate this into tangible business outcomes
- Proactive and confident in outreach, including cold calling and engaging new contacts
- Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships from the ground up
- Fluent Polish and English speaker at a business level
