Job Description
The Credit Risk Analyst at STX Group is responsible for assessing and managing counterparty credit risk exposures across trading desks, analyzing financial data, monitoring credit limits, and supporting the development of credit risk policies to ensure effective risk mitigation in commodity trading operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and quantify counterparty credit risk exposures from physical and derivative transactions.
- Monitor current and potential future credit exposures and evaluate counterparty creditworthiness.
- Support the development and enhancement of Credit Risk Policies, including credit limit setting and risk monitoring.
- Conduct credit analysis on trading counterparties, including financial statement review and market trend analysis.
- Provide feedback on credit appetite, mitigation strategies, and structuring solutions to commercial teams.
- Produce and improve credit risk reports for daily monitoring and strategic portfolio analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across trade lifecycle processes, including legal, market risk, KYC, and front office teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in credit risk analysis within the commodity trading or financial industry of 4 to 5 years.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, commodities, and trading operations.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL and Python, with familiarity with Power BI being a plus.
