Job Description
The Operations Director will lead and oversee the organizational infrastructure, including strategy, finance, and people, to ensure effective operations and support the organization's mission to accelerate climate solutions. They will serve as a key strategic partner, mentor the operations team, and help scale the organization at the forefront of climate innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee organizational infrastructure to ensure effective operations
- Develop and implement operational strategy, finance, and people and culture systems
- Set vision and strategic direction for operational functions
- Ensure smooth and efficient delivery of overall operations
- Advise leadership on strategy and execution of operational functions
- Partner with development, program, and domain management to support organizational needs
- Lead, mentor, and scale the operations team
Requirements
- Experience leading organizational infrastructure to strengthen and scale core functions such as Operational Strategy, Finance, People and Culture, and operational systems.
- Ability to set the vision and strategic direction for operational functions and ensure smooth and efficient delivery of overall operations.
- Experience serving as a key thought partner to the leadership team, advising on strategy and execution for operational functions.
- Ability to partner with development, program, and other domain management to support their work.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling an operations team, with a current team size of at least 1.5 full-time equivalents (FTEs).
