Job Description
The Director of Subcontracts is responsible for developing and managing the subcontractor ecosystem supporting the company's commercial rooftop solar projects, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery across multiple trades and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and optimize the subcontractor ecosystem supporting solar development and EPC projects.
- Own subcontractor strategy across electrical, roofing, structural, civil, and specialty trades.
- Build scalable subcontracting processes and negotiate master service agreements.
- Manage subcontractor performance to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Partner cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Procurement, Safety, and Construction teams to support growth.
Requirements
- Developing, managing, and optimizing the subcontractor ecosystem that supports the company’s commercial and industrial rooftop solar development and EPC portfolio.
- Owning subcontractor strategy across electrical, roofing, structural, civil, and specialty trades.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Building scalable subcontracting processes.
- Negotiating master service agreements with subcontractors.
- Managing subcontractor performance.
- Partnering cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Procurement, Safety, and Construction teams to support rapid growth across multiple markets.
