Job Description
The Compliance Manager at Smart Energy is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework, overseeing regulatory and legal risks across sales, installation, and operations, and ensuring internal processes align with national and state regulations to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the identification, documentation, and escalation of regulatory, legal, and industry compliance risks across sales, installation, and internal operations.
- Ensure internal processes align with applicable national and state regulations.
- Maintain and review company compliance policies.
- Provide formal guidance and implementation of compliance measures to business units.
- Develop and support a robust compliance framework that aligns with business objectives and board vision.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience working in a compliance-focused role, demonstrating success in integrating compliance with business strategy.
- Ability to oversee the identification, documentation, and escalation of regulatory, legal, and industry compliance risks across the company’s sales, installation, and internal operations.
- Experience ensuring internal processes align with applicable national and state regulations.
- Experience overseeing the maintenance and review of company compliance policies.
- Ability to provide formal guidance and implementation of compliance policies to business units to support informed decision-making.
- Willingness to work on site Monday to Friday at the Byron Bay headquarters located in the industrial estate.
- Reside in the Northern Rivers region or be willing to relocate to be able to work on site.
