Job Description
The Compliance Manager at Smart Energy is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework, overseeing regulatory and legal risks across sales, installation, and operations, and ensuring internal processes align with national and state regulations to support the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the identification, documentation, and escalation of regulatory, legal, and industry compliance risks across sales, installation, and internal operations.
- Ensure internal processes align with applicable national and state regulations.
- Maintain and review company compliance policies.
- Provide formal guidance and implementation of compliance measures to business units.
- Develop and maintain a robust compliance framework to support business objectives.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience working in a compliance-focused role, demonstrating success in integrating compliance with business strategy.
- Ability to oversee the identification, documentation, and escalation of regulatory, legal, and industry compliance risks across the company’s sales, installation, and internal operations.
- Knowledge of how to ensure internal processes align with applicable national and state regulations.
- Experience in overseeing the maintenance and review of company compliance policies.
- Ability to provide formal guidance and implementation of compliance policies to business units to support informed decision-making.
- Willingness to be on site Mon-Fri at the Byron Bay HQ located in the industrial estate.
- Reside in the Northern Rivers region or be willing to relocate to be able to work on-site.
