Job Description
The Construction Oversight Manager oversees the execution of solar energy projects in the Tennessee Valley region, managing on-site construction activities, teams, safety, quality, and project timelines to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the successful execution of solar energy projects from inception to completion on-site.
- Supervise construction teams, including subcontractors and company personnel.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations, codes, and company policies.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure work meets design specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate procurement and allocation of materials, equipment, and tools.
- Develop and manage construction plans, schedules, and milestones.
- Provide regular updates and detailed reports on project progress, issues, and changes.
- Identify and resolve construction-related challenges to prevent delays.
- Manage project expenses and ensure adherence to budgets.
- Work 100% on-site at project locations across the Tennessee Valley region.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to work 100% on-site at construction project locations across the Tennessee Valley region.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in managing construction projects, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
- Current OSHA 30 First Aid CPR and USACE Construction Quality Control Management certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools including Microsoft Office, Procore, and familiarity with USACE RMS CM and EM-385-1-1.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
