Job Description
A production technician responsible for manufacturing battery materials using wet-chemistry methods, performing analytical measurements, troubleshooting processes, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve production efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Run process recipes to manufacture material batches via wet-chemistry methods in pilot-scale reactors
- Perform measurements using analytical tools such as microscopes, mechanical testers, and precision balances
- Record work data accurately and maintain an online database
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the production line
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and scientists to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Communicate results effectively to support troubleshooting and process optimization
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, report unsafe behaviors and incidents
- Understand and handle hazardous materials and processes safely
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on work experience as a Technician in a production environment.
- Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot processes and equipment.
- Conscientious, curious, and deliberate approach to problem solving.
- Consistent and reliable project completion from executing routine procedures to troubleshooting equipment to continuously improving new applications and methods.
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal, with Sila employees and external contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to surface problems constructively.
- Ability to work evening shifts and weekends as required.
- Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a periodic basis.
- Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes.
- Move items up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts.
- Move long distances such as from building to building.
- Work schedule: Regular shift Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $37.02/hr to $46.63/hr
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
