Job Description
The role involves leading a team to deploy Sila's advanced lithium-ion battery materials in various markets, overseeing technical development, customer relationships, and collaborative efforts to bring next-generation batteries to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment of Sila's battery materials with customers and partners
- Guide collaboration between internal teams and external partners
- Recruit, train, and oversee the performance of the engineering team
- Manage technical goals, plans, and execution for technology deployment
- Support sales activities and gather competitive intelligence
- Provide coaching and professional development for engineers
- Establish systems for effective communication and decision-making
Requirements
- B.S. or higher in engineering or physical science and 12 years of industry experience, or candidates with an advanced degree or related experience with fewer years of experience
- Understanding of lithium-ion batteries, components, and materials
- Experience leading customer- or partner-facing relationships
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
- Demonstrated advanced engineering and project management skills
- Passion for coaching and guiding coworkers through trust, openness, and dedication
- Anticipated travel up to 25% required, both domestic and international
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier, and printer, in a fixed location
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $185,000 to $234,000 base pay
Work schedule: Anticipated travel up to 25% required, both domestic and international
