Job Description
The role involves leading the design, development, and scaling of new battery manufacturing and testing capabilities, collaborating across teams to accelerate R&D efforts, and improving system performance for advanced lithium-ion batteries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify novel electrode and cell prototyping capabilities to accelerate R&D and deployment
- Design, develop, qualify, and scale up new battery making and testing capabilities
- Manage cross-functional projects to ensure timely progress and stakeholder communication
- Proactively identify issues and improve system performance in R&D operations
- Train teammates on system operation and data analysis
Requirements
- Experience developing materials, assembly, or test processes, particularly for R D.
- Demonstrated cross-functional project management skills.
- Experience implementing safety and data collection analysis best practices.
- At least a B.S. in engineering or physical science.
- Five (5) years of hands-on industry experience.
- Ability to collaborate with teammates to identify novel electrode and cell prototyping capabilities that could accelerate product R D and deployment.
- Ability to lead the design, development, qualification, and scaleup of new battery making and testing capabilities.
- Ability to manage projects involving multiple functions to stay on target and keep stakeholders informed.
- Ability to proactively identify issues and support the R D Operations team by continuously improving system performance.
- Ability to train teammates on the operation and data analysis of systems and processes.
- Wearing personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
- Move items up to 30 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts.
- Move long distances such as from building to building.
- Precisely manipulate equipment and tools, such as screwdrivers and wrenches.
- Work Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $151,000 to $177,500
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
