Job Description

The Head of People Operations will partner with senior leadership to develop and scale the company's HR functions, focusing on creating efficient, compliant, and human-centered systems for global talent management, employee lifecycle, and organizational growth in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve core People Operations processes including employee lifecycle management, compensation, benefits, policies, compliance, governance, and visa/immigration procedures.
  • Partner with external providers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient, and employee-centric mobility solutions.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize HR systems, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop people analytics, KPIs, and reports to inform leadership decisions and support workforce planning.
  • Create scalable, repeatable best practices, templates, and operating models to support organizational growth and distributed teams.
  • Own and evolve development and performance review processes to ensure clear expectations, meaningful feedback, and strong performance as the organization scales.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise across core HR disciplines, with a strong grounding in UK employment law, policies, and compliance.
  • Practical experience owning UK employment compliance frameworks and immigration sponsorship obligations, such as Skilled Worker licence management.
  • Experience operating in scaling organisations with employee counts ranging from 20 to 300 or 400 employees.
  • Solid experience in developing and implementing compensation strategy and benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and transparent pay frameworks.
  • Proven experience leading and advising on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, performance management PIPs, and terminations, with sound judgment and a strong compliance lens.
