The Digital Construction Implementation Engineer is responsible for helping construction organizations adopt digital tools on site by providing training, support, and feedback to improve product adoption and effectiveness, acting as a bridge between customers, sales, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with construction clients to ensure successful adoption of Shape's digital tools on projects.
Provide training, support, and troubleshooting to clients during implementation and usage of the software.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify challenges and collaborate with the product team to improve the software.
Develop and implement scalable site adoption processes using data-driven methods for both enterprise and self-serve customers.
Create training materials and contribute to the customer-facing knowledge base to facilitate client onboarding and ongoing education.
Requirements
Have worked in the construction industry in a site office role and have first-hand experience of using software on construction projects, such as Excel, Word, or construction-specific management software.
Possess a mastery understanding of construction management practices.
Be a confident and clear communicator, comfortable working with both front-line personnel and senior project leadership to understand their needs from a product.
Be a self-starter capable of working with business leaders to agree on strategies and goals, and then setting and executing your own agenda to meet them.
Create and utilize templates and tools (such as Excel or Word templates) to improve team efficiency and digital adoption.
Own relationships with customers and be responsible for their success in adopting Shape’s tools on construction projects, acting as their primary point of contact for questions and issues, and working proactively to ensure successful implementations.
Monitor customer satisfaction by creating mechanisms to track and evaluate their satisfaction with the products.
Collaborate closely with the product development team by providing insights gathered from field implementations to help improve the products.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and challenges in the construction industry related to technology adoption, and use this knowledge to become an industry expert in driving change.
Create training materials and contribute to the customer-facing knowledge base to assist clients in training their teams.
Have the capability to work in a hybrid environment combining remote work, site presence at client projects, and office locations.
Demonstrate impact through proven experience in creating tools and processes from scratch, and in hiring, coaching, and developing team members or rising stars.
Be capable of engaging with clients on a one-to-one basis and presenting to larger groups effectively.
Possess leadership skills, including the ability to lead a team, recognize excellent customer service standards, and empower others to achieve them.
Have a deep understanding of how to use data to create effective onboarding experiences and measure user engagement (preferred but not mandatory).
Be committed to continuous feedback and improvement, and willing to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Be motivated by solving significant challenges in construction project delivery and contributing to long-term societal impact.
