Job Description
An Electrical Engineering Manager responsible for leading electrical design, technical decision-making, and team management across hardware development projects in industries such as aerospace, renewable energy, medical devices, and robotics. The role involves providing technical guidance, developing engineering talent, and ensuring project success aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own electrical engineering technical decisions and outcomes across projects
- Lead, mentor, and manage the electrical engineering team
- Provide hands-on technical guidance throughout the hardware development lifecycle
- Partner with business and project leadership to define technical scope and success criteria
- Establish standards, processes, and best practices to improve design quality and efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in an electrical engineering and hardware development role for aerospace, industrial automation, robotics, or similar industries
- 5 years of experience in engineering design leadership and or people management roles
- Expertise in successfully executing end-to-end electronics design from requirements generation through hardware bring-up
- Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage technical risk, scope, and delivery across multiple projects
- Applicant must be willing to work 40 hours a week in El Segundo, California, USA
- Applicant must be eligible to work on export controlled projects under U.S. Government export control regulations, including being a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
