Job Description
The Site Manager oversees the operations and performance of two off-grid energy plants, leading a team to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe power delivery while managing stakeholder coordination and maintaining system uptime guarantees.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operations and performance of two Energy Center plants providing 300MW of energy
- Coordinate with Scale Microgrids staff, O M provider, and LTSA providers to ensure safe and effective plant operations
- Lead and manage a team of operators and maintenance personnel
- Ensure uninterrupted utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency
- Proactively prevent reliability guarantee breaches related to system availability and uptime
Requirements
- Experience in overseeing the operations and performance of energy plants, specifically managing two Energy Center plants providing 300MW of reliable energy in an off-grid installation.
- Proven ability to lead and direct a team of operators and maintenance personnel to ensure uninterrupted utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency.
- Experience coordinating with microgrid staff, operations and maintenance (O M) providers, and Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) providers to ensure effective and safe plant operations.
- Ability to proactively prevent reliability guarantee breaches and ensure system availability and uptime guarantees are met, in accordance with a performance-based power purchasing agreement with financial penalties for non-compliance.
- Physical and mental capacity to perform the duties required for managing energy plant operations, including overseeing safety and operational effectiveness.
- Willingness and ability to be based in near New Albany, Ohio, for the duration of the role.
- Educational background or experience sufficient to manage complex energy systems and teams, as implied by the managerial responsibilities (specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but are implied by the role).
