Job Description
The Senior Contracts Manager will develop, negotiate, and manage contracts for renewable energy projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risks, while supporting the company's mission to deliver sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, draft, negotiate, and execute contracts for renewable energy projects
- Manage the end-to-end RFP development, evaluation, and selection process
- Negotiate and draft construction contracts adhering to project requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address contractual risks and opportunities
- Review and analyze contractual terms, including insurance, warranties, indemnities, and performance guarantees
- Coordinate with project management, legal advisors, and consultants to ensure compliance with regulations and project specifications
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to renewable energy projects
- Implement efficient contract management strategies and identify process improvements
- Provide regular updates on contract status to project teams and management
- Maintain accurate documentation of contract templates, approvals, and executed contracts
- Interpret contractual terms and provide guidance to project management and operations teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 10 years of professional working experience
- Proven experience preferably 5 years as a Construction Contracts Manager, with specific expertise in renewable energy sectors
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, contract negotiation, and project management principles
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, including solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and wind
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess contractual risks and propose effective mitigation strategies
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
