Job Description
The role involves building AI-powered systems and customer-facing products that analyze vehicle data and camera footage to detect unsafe behaviors and operational events, contributing to safety and efficiency improvements across industries. It requires developing scalable solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and owning the full development lifecycle in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and release new features rapidly, validate with customers, and evolve solutions.
- Solve complex technical problems and own the success of full-stack products.
- Build upon skills across technologies such as Go, GraphQL, Typescript, React, and MySQL.
- Maintain operational health of production systems and support scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new detections and insights.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
- Experience shipping features that are used by customers and iterating on customer feedback to inform what to deliver next.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to collaborate, with the ability to explain why a solution is built a certain way and be open to suggestions from other engineers and stakeholders.
- A growth mindset and excitement around building new skills and expertise, with the ability to be a quick learner and operate with minimum supervision.
- Comfortable with building out end-to-end solutions and willing to work across the full technology stack, whether front-end or back-end development.
- Experience maintaining production systems owned by the team and providing operational support when necessary.
- Early adopter of AI technology with demonstrated strong interest in AI applications.
- Experience taking Large Language Model (LLM) systems into production for customer-facing features at scale.
- Experience collaborating effectively on a geographically distributed team.
- Experience maintaining software products at scale.
- Proficiency or experience in Go, GraphQL, Typescript, React, and AWS is a plus.
- Ability to build and release new features rapidly, validate with customers, and evolve solutions toward robustness and scalability.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems, own the success of solutions, and contribute to architecture, roadmap, and wider engineering community.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to an early-stage product, and taking LLM systems into production for customer-facing features at scale.
