Job Description
The role involves leading the architecture and development of scalable, real-time data streaming and API platforms to enable enterprise customers to build custom integrations, with a focus on reliability, performance, and long-term technical vision within a remote, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of a high-throughput, real-time Eventing platform for enterprise customers.
- Design and build serverless compute Lambda capabilities to enable custom logic execution on the platform.
- Guide the evolution of the external API framework to ensure robustness, consistency, and ease of use.
- Mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions across products, including the Marketplace.
- Partner with Product Management and customers to define a long-term technical vision for developer experience.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Deep expertise in designing, building, and operating high-throughput data streaming systems using Kafka or similar eventing technologies.
- Demonstrable experience with serverless compute architectures, such as AWS Lambda, and an understanding of their associated design patterns and trade-offs.
- Strong experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, public-facing APIs, with a preference for GraphQL.
- Experience with managed event streaming platforms e.g., Amazon MSK, Azure Event Hubs, Google Cloud Pub Sub.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehousing solutions like Snowflake.
