Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining the core platform infrastructure and customer-facing features for Samsara's Connected Operations Cloud, impacting industries worldwide by creating scalable, innovative solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability in physical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the development, testing, and deployment of core platform features used by thousands of fleets worldwide.
- Design and build scalable, customer-facing systems and infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust features.
- Mentor and guide other engineers to ensure high-quality code and best practices.
- Take full ownership of complex features and projects from conception to ongoing support.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and shipping outstanding customer-focused products.
- Strong programming fundamentals in Java, Python, Golang, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience designing and maintaining complex systems and application services.
- Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver project milestones with your team.
- Seeks to iterate on new products based on customer feedback.
