Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer in the Platform team at Samsara develops and maintains scalable, customer-facing systems that support the company's Connected Operations Cloud, impacting industries worldwide by improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability through IoT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop core platform systems used by thousands of fleets worldwide.
- Design, build, test, and deliver end-to-end customer-facing features and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Mentor and guide other engineers to ensure high-quality development practices.
- Take full ownership of complex features and projects from conception to support.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and shipping outstanding customer-focused products.
- Strong programming fundamentals in Java, Python, Golang, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience designing and maintaining complex systems and application services.
- Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver project milestones with your team.
- Seeks to iterate on new products based on customer feedback.
