Job Description
A Senior Full Stack AWS Developer at Samsara is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud applications and infrastructure on AWS, integrating AI/ML solutions to optimize sales workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure software solutions that support the company's connected operations platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and highly available applications and services on AWS
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
- Integrate AI/ML solutions into sales tools to support and optimize sales workflows
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and web services
- Support data integration and pipeline development for analytics and insights
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for AWS environments
- Ensure security and compliance of AWS environments and applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in AWS environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 5 years of software development experience, or a Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 3 years of software development experience with a focus on cloud technologies.
- At least 2 years of full-stack software development experience.
- Strong understanding of core AWS services and their application in building scalable and resilient systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, Node.js, Go, or React.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments, with a solid understanding of software development lifecycle processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with designing, developing, and deploying scalable and highly available applications and services on AWS.
- Experience utilizing a wide range of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, and more.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience integrating AI ML-powered solutions in sales tools to support and optimize sales workflows, such as CRM integration, lead scoring, chatbots, recommendation engines, and forecasting models.
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or similar tools.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and other web services.
- Experience supporting the integration of first- and third-party data sources into cloud pipelines for analytics and insights, including ETL and ELT pipelines.
- Experience implementing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
- Experience ensuring the security and compliance of AWS environments and applications by implementing best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production AWS environments.
- Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and best practices.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration services such as Amazon ECS or EKS.
- Experience building and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
- Experience with database design and management on AWS RDS and DynamoDB.
- Experience in integrating multiple applications using middleware tools such as Zapier or Workato.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
