Job Description
This is a full-stack engineering role focused on developing and maintaining connectivity features for Samsara's IoT vehicle gateway, ensuring secure and reliable device integration to support global fleet operations and improve physical industry processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deliver end-to-end products and features in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Develop skills across multiple technologies including Go, GraphQL, Typescript, JavaScript, React, and React Native
- Solve real-world problems and optimize fleet operations globally
- Support outage investigations and participate in on-call rotations
- Contribute to a customer-focused development process by iterating based on customer feedback
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Professional experience working with a team to develop real world customer facing products and features.
- Strong programming coding fundamentals in a modern language such as Golang, React-native, Swift, Kotlin, or Python.
- Experience designing, building and maintaining user facing production systems.
- Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver upon project milestones with your team.
- Experience in IoT, telematics, condition monitoring solutions.
- Contributed heavily to driving significant value to their customers.
- Curiosity about customers and eagerness to improve their day-to-day experience.
- Seeks to iterate on new products based on customer feedback.
- Ability to work in a remote position within the United States or Canada (relocation assistance will not be provided).
- Participation in a one week per quarter on-call rotation and support outage investigations in the team’s ownership domain.
