Job Description
The role involves managing the strategy and development of insurance-related products and APIs that leverage Samsara's IoT and AI data to improve risk assessment, claims processing, and underwriting for commercial auto insurance, with a focus on integrating deeply with insurer systems and delivering measurable insurance value.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of insurer broker experiences and insurance data services APIs.
- Integrate with insurer systems and define reference integrations across policy, billing, and claims platforms.
- Shape insurance workflows such as risk insights, claims acceleration, and underwriting data services.
- Build relationships with carriers, brokers, and customers to understand their needs and inform the product roadmap.
- Define success metrics and coordinate cross-functional teams to scale adoption and impact.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in Product Management with hands-on insurtech experience, specifically in commercial auto insurance, claims FNOL, underwriting, pricing, risk engineering, or broker and carrier workflows.
- Proven track record of shipping data platform products, including APIs, dashboards, and integrations that drove measurable business results.
- Familiarity with P C core systems and integrations in policy, billing, and claims platforms.
- Strong product sense with technical depth across data models, evaluation, privacy, and partner interoperability.
- Excellent written communication skills and stakeholder management abilities across insurers, brokers, customers, and internal teams.
- Experience building or scaling telematics video-based safety solutions or analytics used by fleets and insurers (preferred).
- Experience shipping claims acceleration and risk underwriting scoring products, ideally combining telematics with claims data (preferred).
- Experience designing privacy-mitigated, bidirectional data-sharing programs between enterprises (preferred).
