Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager - Public Sector at Samsara leads and develops a team of account executives to sell IoT solutions to public sector organizations, focusing on building relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and driving revenue growth while supporting community safety and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Enterprise Account Executives focusing on Public Sector organizations.
  • Hire, onboard, and coach account executives to ensure their growth and success.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, conduct pipeline reviews, and achieve quarterly targets.
  • Manage complex, full-cycle sales processes involving multiple decision makers and extended timeframes.
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with Public Sector customers to foster trust and long-term engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and manage projects related to sales and customer success.
  • Create training content and support ongoing professional development for the sales team.
  • Provide tactical and performance feedback to team members to drive results and improvement.
  • Champion and embed company cultural principles within the team and organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of selling experience.
  • 2-3 years experience managing a Public Sector team.
  • Experience selling full-cycle sales into the Public Sector Local Government, K-12, High Education.
  • Must have experience working 200K ACV deals as an individual contributor or a manager.
  • Understanding of complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time-frames.
  • Must have a strong track record of overachievement to quota.
  • Must be able to travel up to twice per month for onsite meetings.
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be adaptable and demonstrate a growth mindset.
