Job Description

The Sales Director at Samsara is responsible for leading and developing an enterprise sales team, driving the adoption of IoT-based solutions for physical operations, and managing customer relationships to achieve sales targets in a remote, southeastern US-based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement coaching and development strategies for Account Executives
  • Collaborate with executive team to develop performance metrics
  • Coordinate with Field Sales Engineers and support teams to meet performance objectives and customer expectations
  • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles within the team
  • Focus on customer success and building long-term relationships
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing sales team

Requirements

  • Previous experience supervising an enterprise sales team in the US in a management capacity
  • Proven track record of ability to train, spearhead and motivate enterprise sales teams
  • Solid understanding of SFDC (Salesforce) and accurate forecasting methodology
  • At least 8 years of technology sales experience
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team in sales supervision and/or high overachievement as an individual contributor in Enterprise SaaS sales
  • Passion in helping Account Executives close large, complex deals
