Job Description
The Proposal Writer at Samsara is responsible for developing and managing complex RFP responses in English and French, collaborating with subject matter experts, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements in a dynamic, fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to complex customer RFPs in English and French.
- Develop multiple proposals in a high-performance environment.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and account executives to inform RFP responses.
- Manage the entire RFP process for government and private sector evaluations.
- Analyze customer RFP requirements and develop proposal schedules and templates.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven project management skills with 3-5 years of experience in managing proposals and RFP processes.
- Experience with developing and coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in a high-performance environment.
- Experience working with Samsara subject matter experts and account executives to inform responses to RFPs and maintain a knowledge base.
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility for the entire RFP process for both government and private evaluators.
- Ability to analyze customer RFP requirements documents and develop proposal schedules and outline templates to control proposal development.
- Ensuring compliance with customer requirements and deadlines throughout the proposal process.
- Fluency in English and French, with the ability to respond to complex customer RFPs in both languages.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Business Strategy, English, Communications, Marketing, or related disciplines, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with Proposal Management tools and software such as Responsive, Loopio, etc.
- High-level writing skills to author and edit technical content, with 2-3 years of writing or translation experience.
- Experience developing winning proposals and coordinating RFP responses in a tech or software sales environment.
