Job Description

The role involves working as a Partnership Sales Engineer to support and develop technical integrations and strategic relationships with Fleet Management Company partners, helping them leverage Samsara's IoT platform to enhance their operations and deliver value to joint customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical and solution-oriented discussions with existing and prospective FMC partners and their customers.
  • Provide integration support, architectural guidance, and strategic recommendations for coexisting Samsara and FMC platforms.
  • Perform deep discovery into partner environments to identify solution fit, integration scope, and revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain joint solutions by understanding partner platforms, data models, workflows, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build and grow partner engagements from inception to execution.
  • Assist partners in leveraging Samsara's open APIs to develop scalable integrations.
  • Guide and advise on architecture and best practices for joint customer solutions using both platforms.
  • Support the development and evolution of FMC integrations in partnership with internal teams.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, proofs of value, and training to partners and internal teams.
  • Enable sales and partner teams to effectively position and sell FMC integrations and joint solutions.
  • Prepare technical resources such as solution proposals, reference architectures, and enablement materials.
  • Engage with partners and industry events to demonstrate platform value and foster relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience working with customers or partners in a pre sales, customer success, or technical support capacity.
  • Strong aptitude for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen and a solid understanding of business processes and change management.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non technical audiences.
  • Experience managing hardware and or software product evaluations.
  • Willingness to travel to support partners and customers, including onsite engagements when required.
  • Experience integrating SaaS platforms using RESTful APIs, including custom integrations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a creative approach to removing sales obstacles.
  • Comfort working in a fast growing, dynamic technical organization.
  • Demonstrated success moving technical relationships forwards between two large enterprises.
  • Experience working with or knowledge of SaaS based integrations and platform ecosystems.
  • Experience with REST, XML, SOAP, or EDI as common integration standards and transports.
  • Ability to learn an FMC’s platform, data model, workflows, and go-to-market motion, and translate that understanding into meaningful joint solutions with Samsara.
  • Ability to perform deep discovery into partner environments to find solution fit, determine integration scope and level of effort, and identify additional technology-driven revenue opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Background or exposure to fleet operations, logistics, supply chain, telematics, or transportation technology (preferred but not mandatory).
