Job Description

A remote sales role focused on acquiring new customers for Samsara's IoT solutions, involving strategic prospecting, complex deal cycles, and building long-term customer relationships across various industries to drive digital transformation and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new mid-sized customers through outbound prospecting and strategic account mapping.
  • Manage customer engagements from prospecting and qualification to closing sales.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate deal progression and remove obstacles.
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term success.
  • Engage in complex, multi-faceted sales cycles involving technical POCs and negotiations.
  • Apply value-based selling approaches to meet sales targets and expand the customer base.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 24 months experience in a full-cycle, outbound-heavy SaaS closing role.
  • Experience in a pure hunter role focused on 80-90 net-new logo acquisition.
  • Proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement.
  • Experience handling complex mid-large deal cycles.
  • Ability to work on strategic account mapping and outbound prospecting.
  • Own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and curious by nature.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
  • Value-based selling approach.
  • MEDDIC experience.
  • Minimum sales transaction size of typical deals ranging from 20k to 200k.
  • Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and earn their trust.
  • Willingness to put in the work required to learn about businesses where previous knowledge is limited.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal cross-functional stakeholders to remove deal blockers.
