Job Description
The Legal Counsel will support Samsara's European business by negotiating and managing commercial contracts, developing legal workflows, and providing legal guidance across various matters to facilitate the company's growth and operations in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and execute commercial contracts with customers, vendors, and partners in Europe
- Develop and improve commercial contracting workflows, including drafting agreements and compliance tools
- Support legal aspects of the company's growth in Europe across various legal areas such as employment, regulatory, corporate, product, and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic legal initiatives and act as a trusted legal partner
- Provide legal advice and answer questions on a wide range of issues and projects
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of commercial legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house position in the United Kingdom, including experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Law degree from a top university with strong academic credentials.
- Be a qualified solicitor or barrister of good standing in England and Wales.
- Ability to build, develop, and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills that allow for clear communication both written and verbal.
- High degree of professional integrity, ethics, and sound judgment.
- Ability to be a highly proactive self-starter who delivers quality work within tight timelines.
- Interest in being a true partner to business stakeholders and immersing oneself in the ins and outs of the business and industry.
- Based in the United Kingdom, ideally close to London.
