Job Description
This role involves partnering with supply chain operations to manage hardware-related financial planning, analysis, and reporting, including forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI development, to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Supply Chain Operations leaders to manage hardware spend and provide financial insights for strategic decisions
- Lead the monthly and quarterly close and forecasting processes for hardware COGS, cash flow, warranty, freight, and operating expenses
- Develop and maintain financial models and reporting mechanisms for cash flow and COGS amortization, including forecasts and scenario analyses
- Forecast, track, and analyze E O inventory reserves and warranty reserves to improve accuracy and predictability
- Define, build, and monitor KPIs dashboards for hardware unit economics, supply chain expenses, and cash flow
- Build scalable planning and reporting systems to enhance financial visibility and operational decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, ideally supporting Supply Chain, or hardware physical product teams.
- Demonstrated ownership of cash flow, COGS forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience leading cross-functional finance process improvements with Accounting and Operations, including close process, accruals, reserves, and controls, driving durable change through influence and end-to-end ownership.
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills in Excel or Google Sheets, with strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience with E O inventory reserves and/or warranty reserve forecasting or comparable estimates reserve ownership.
- Familiarity with ERP cost accounting systems used for inventory and product cost, such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite.
- Strong analytics tooling skills, including SQL and/or BI tools like Looker or Tableau, and comfort working with large datasets.
- Experience in a hardware manufacturing ecosystem, including OEM, CM, procurement finance, or logistics/3PL.
