Job Description
The Salesforce Developer at Samsara is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable solutions on the Salesforce and CPQ platforms to enhance sales operations and automate business processes, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable solutions on the Salesforce and CPQ platforms.
- Create and review technical design artifacts and participate in cross-functional review sessions.
- Communicate technical solutions and design tradeoffs to team members and stakeholders.
- Provide technical support for projects, enhancements, and bug fixes related to Salesforce CPQ.
- Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and critical metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements, develop solutions, and manage testing activities.
- Establish best practices and standards for high-quality, efficient code development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5 years of Salesforce development experience or 3 years of Salesforce development experience with a Master's Degree.
- Extensive knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud or Salesforce CPQ for at least 2 years.
- Experience developing secure, scalable technical solutions on the Salesforce and CPQ platforms.
- Ability to create and collaborate on solution and technical design artifacts, and present and participate in cross-functional review sessions.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions and design tradeoffs to Business Applications team members as well as business stakeholders.
- Experience providing technical support for new projects, enhancements, and bug fixes related to solutions being delivered on the Salesforce CPQ platform.
- Experience working with Business system analysts to design and implement end-to-end automation.
- Experience analyzing business processes to identify inefficiencies and critical metrics.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other developers and team members to obtain requirements, develop solution designs, and manage UATs and post-go-live activities.
- Ability to establish best practices and standards for well-designed, testable, efficient code with high quality.
- Proven success in a dynamic and collaborative environment with excellent communication skills.
- Experience designing test plans, performing unit testing, and writing test classes to ensure proper code coverage.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Experience contributing to setting up CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in agile development methodology.
- Familiarity with Apex Enterprise Design Patterns is a plus.
- Web services experience preferred, specifically REST and SOAP.
- Working knowledge of Web and Javascript frameworks.
- Certifications such as Platform Developer, Platform App Builder, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
- Must be able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
