Job Description

The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating sales opportunities through outbound outreach, building pipelines, and fostering relationships with prospective customers in the IoT and SaaS space, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source pipelines for EMEA business through outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with prospects
  • Become a product expert and learn the Samsara sales approach
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions with prospects in CRM Salesforce
  • Drive sales pipeline growth by engaging with potential customers
  • Support account development efforts by conducting high-volume prospect conversations
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and other sales team members to support sales processes
  • Engage in ongoing training to develop sales skills and product knowledge

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer facing roles
  • 6-12 months of sales experience as a minimum
  • Highly motivated and committed, with strong desire to work in target driven sales
  • Proven track record of consistent over achievement of targets and expectations of previous roles
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Curious and able to ask insightful questions
  • A champion of a Growth Mindset
  • Highly proficient in English and fluent in German
  • Experience in closing-sales roles (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Proven track record of achievements beyond work, e.g., academics, sports, charity (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Willingness to collaborate and influence in a win as a team environment
  • Ability to work in a remote position within Germany, France, The Netherlands, or United Kingdom, with working hours in CEST
  • Ability to keep meticulous records of interactions with accounts in CRM Salesforce.com
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development programs
  • Ability to conduct high-volume outbound calls (average of 60 calls daily) and engage prospects via phone, emails, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to represent the Samsara brand at trade shows and events
  • Willingness to learn and become a product expert and sales methodology
  • Ability to build and maintain a pipeline through personalized outreach
  • Resilience to rejection and persistence in outbound sales activities
