Job Description

The Sales Manager will develop and manage customer relationships, originate new projects, and drive sales of Rondo's innovative heat battery technology for industrial decarbonization, working closely with stakeholders to structure and close turnkey project solutions in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and originate new sales prospects and manage existing key accounts
  • Support project development from initial contact to definitive agreement by understanding customer needs and creating project scope
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as renewable developers, utilities, EPCs, and finance teams to structure projects and develop solutions
  • Establish and improve processes for project deal development, including documentation and risk review
  • Identify target customer segments, market opportunities, and develop value propositions and product strategies
  • Qualify potential customers through technical and market analysis to assess product fit and transaction viability
  • Manage customer relationships, understand decision-making processes, and guide deals to closure
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and represent the company at industry events to promote solutions
  • Maintain CRM data, forecast project opportunities, and track deal stages
  • Prepare technical and financial analyses, customer presentations, and draft commercial agreements such as MOUs and LOIs

Requirements

  • A degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; an MBA or Master’s degree in the Energy Sector is highly desirable
  • At least 5 years of experience with industrial sector business development and large capital equipment sales, with a preference for experience in two or all of the following areas: commercial and Industrial micro-grid and combined heat and power projects, renewable project development including structuring project financing, and industrial energy efficiency projects
  • Proven track record in lead creation, customer relationship nurturing through execution, and repeat sales, both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in structuring and negotiating commercial contracts to find deal solutions that meet the needs of both the customer and the company
  • Familiarity with industrial sector energy procurement and energy-as-a-service business models
  • Familiarity with UAE energy sectors
  • Fluency in English
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including project finance modeling and cash flow analysis
  • Strong skills in MS PowerPoint for developing high-quality professional presentations
  • Ability to prepare and write techno-economic analyses and documentation in both Arabic and English
  • The role will be remote and ideally based in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Riyadh, and applicants must be entitled to work in those locations; visa sponsorships or relocation costs cannot be supported
