The Sales Manager will develop and manage customer relationships, originate projects, and drive sales for Rondo's innovative heat battery technology, supporting industrial decarbonization efforts and renewable energy integration in the Iberia region.
Key Responsibilities
Develop existing pipeline and originate new prospects for Heat Battery projects
Manage key accounts, maintain customer relationships, and drive repeat business
Identify customer needs and develop project scope and business relationships for turnkey solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders to structure projects and iterate on proposed solutions
Support the development and implementation of project deal development processes
Qualify potential customers and evaluate their ability to transact
Conduct meetings with potential customers and project partners, including presentations at events
Maintain and update project and contact information in CRM, including deal stages and forecasts
Prepare customer presentation materials and perform preliminary technical and financial analyses
Identify key commercial terms and draft MOUs, LOIs, and term sheets to facilitate agreements
Requirements
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; an MBA or Master’s degree in the Energy Sector is highly desirable
At least 5 years of experience with industrial sector business development and large capital equipment sales, with a preference for experience in one or more of the following areas: commercial and industrial micro-grid and combined heat and power projects, renewable project development including structuring project financing, and industrial energy efficiency projects
Proven track record in lead creation, customer relationship nurturing through execution, and repeat sales, both independently and as part of a team
Fluency in structuring and negotiating commercial contracts to find deal solutions that meet the needs of both the customer and the company
Familiarity with industrial sector energy procurement and energy-as-a-service business models
Familiarity with Europe energy markets
Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese language skills are desirable
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including project finance modeling and cash flow analysis
Strong skills in MS PowerPoint for developing high-quality professional presentations
Ability to independently prepare and write techno-economic analyses and documentation in both Spanish and English
Must be entitled to work in Spain; visa sponsorships or relocation costs cannot be supported
