Job Description
The Project Engineer at Rondo Energy is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the technical execution of large-scale thermal energy storage projects, ensuring design quality, compliance, and timely delivery to support industrial decarbonization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with teams to plan and manage engineering studies, resource allocation, schedules, site visits, and client collaboration.
- Oversee all phases of project technical execution to ensure designs meet specifications and quality standards.
- Generate engineering deliverables such as process design, equipment sizing, data sheets, and technical specifications.
- Review project and mechanical process deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance with client needs.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Track and report progress on technical and commercial project deliverables to stakeholders.
- Identify permits and coordinate technical documentation to support project compliance and implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or industrial systems engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering or project engineering.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in project development and delivery of large-scale capital energy power infrastructure projects.
- Technical skills to perform engineering design of supporting infrastructure typical in large-scale industrial projects with little oversight.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with engineering design software such as CAD and MS Project.

Salary range of $125,000 to $165,000 within the Kansas City area
Remote position with a preferred home location near Kansas City or the surrounding metropolitan area
