Job Description
The Field Application Engineer supports sales and technical efforts for Phoenix Contact's cabinet efficiency products in the industrial automation sector, providing hands-on expertise, developing customer relationships, and driving sales growth within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sales of Phoenix Contact products related to cabinet efficiency through technical expertise and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute joint sales activities, trainings, and strategic plans.
- Act as the technical representative for product solutions, providing support on power-related technical matters.
- Develop sales tools, collateral, and marketing campaigns to promote products and solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate business growth.
- Deliver product presentations and hands-on demonstrations to drive sales of cabinet efficiency solutions.
- Utilize CRM systems for customer communication, reporting, and tracking sales activities.
- Maintain technical knowledge of all Phoenix Contact cabinet efficiency products and solutions.
- Meet or exceed territory sales quotas through proactive sales efforts and customer engagement.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree
- Technical discipline preferred and or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 2 years sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products
- Ability to work independently from home office and communicate effectively with colleagues with limited supervision
- Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Must be able to travel via airplane
- Must have a valid driver s license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs (samples, demos, literature)
- Must be able to travel overnight 50% or as dictated by assigned territory
- Comply with company dress code guidelines
