Job Description
The Client Solutions Manager at RES is responsible for marketing ecological restoration and resilience projects, building client relationships, managing project opportunities, and representing the company in the Northern Virginia region to promote environmental solutions and secure new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Market integrated delivery projects to prospects and clients in mitigation, water quality, and resilience
- Identify and pursue business opportunities in ecological restoration and related solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, agencies, and industry partners
- Lead proposal development, deal structuring, and manage external relationships
- Track permitting timelines and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams on project pursuit strategies and resource allocation
- Represent RES at conferences, industry forums, and key client meetings
- Manage project timelines, assess risks, and communicate financial aspects of deals
- Travel regionally to visit project sites, meet with regulators, and attend industry events
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a related industry, dealing with complex solutions with multi-year sales cycle and multiple stakeholders
- Experience assessing and managing project timelines, identifying risks, and aligning teams to meet deliverables
- Experience interpreting financial models and communicating the financial health of deals
- Experience with contracts and key provisions, with legal awareness in deal structuring
- Ability to build lasting relationships and solve complex client challenges
- Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bring in internal experts when needed
- Ability to read the room, adapt approach, and demonstrate resilience and urgency in a professional setting
