Job Description
A Field Technician II at RES is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment in outdoor environmental restoration and construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality work in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment in the field
- Lead equipment inspections and ensure safety and maintenance protocols are followed
- Perform preventive maintenance and monitor equipment performance
- Assist and train crew members on safety procedures and equipment maintenance
- Travel to multiple job sites to support environmental restoration and construction projects
Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience in construction equipment repair and maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
- Trade school certification or manufacturer-specific repair certification
- Intermediate proficiency in diagnostic tools and interpreting system errors
- Working knowledge of equipment maintenance schedules, fluids, and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Capability to walk over uneven surfaces, climb on construction equipment, and navigate hills
- Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level
