A Field Technician II at RES is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment in outdoor environmental restoration and construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality work in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment in the field
Lead equipment inspections and ensure safety and maintenance protocols are followed
Perform preventive maintenance and monitor equipment performance
Assist and train crew members on safety procedures and equipment maintenance
Travel to multiple job sites to support environmental restoration and construction projects
Requirements
Three (3) years of experience in construction equipment repair and maintenance
Valid driver’s license
Trade school certification or manufacturer-specific repair certification
Intermediate proficiency in diagnostic tools and interpreting system errors
Working knowledge of equipment maintenance schedules, fluids, and safety protocols
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Capability to walk over uneven surfaces, climb on construction equipment, and navigate hills
Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level
