Job Description
The Solutions Analyst II at RES is responsible for analyzing complex environmental, regulatory, and financial data to support project development and investment decisions in restoration and sustainability initiatives, collaborating across multiple disciplines to deliver nature-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to evaluate environmental, regulatory, and site data for project opportunities
- Outline permitting pathways and identify regulatory constraints
- Research clients, industries, and markets to support external meetings and opportunity assessments
- Draft and coordinate RFQ, RFP responses, proposals, scopes of work, and internal memos
- Analyze large datasets and financial models, interpret outputs, and perform quality assurance on budgets and pro formas
- Translate technical and business requirements into clear narratives for diverse audiences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline such as environmental, engineering, planning, business, economics, or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field or demonstrated comparable competencies.
- Experience or knowledge in public infrastructure funding, project development, or planning, which can be direct or adjacent experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce polished, client-ready documents.
- Fundamental understanding of environmental regulations and permitting, including but not limited to CWA Section 404, ESA Sections 7-10, and local stormwater requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong organization, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
- Experience working with large datasets and financial models, including summarizing trends, interpreting outputs, and performing QA/QC on pro formas, budgets, and basic profit and loss inputs.
