Job Description
A Quality Engineer at Redwood Materials is responsible for developing and maintaining quality standards, leading risk mitigation efforts, supporting quality system improvements, and ensuring product and process quality through data analysis, problem-solving, and customer engagement to support the company's battery recycling and energy storage initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop process and product quality standards and plans to meet customer expectations
- Lead the development of PFMEAs, Process Control Plans, and inspection procedures to identify and mitigate quality risks
- Support the deployment and improvement of critical quality system elements
- Ensure quality standards are met for incoming materials and oversee product release and non-conforming material disposition
- Analyze quality data to enable continuous improvement
- Participate in customer-facing quality discussions and audits
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Requirements
- Experience in transition operations from development to high volume process production.
- Knowledge of and leadership in structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with development and use of critical quality tools and quality system elements.
- Customer and Supplier facing quality experience.
- Adept with process data acquisition and analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to execute with a calm and collaborative urgency.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range: $148,000 - $241,500 USD
