Job Description
Redwood Materials is seeking a Class A Truck Driver responsible for long-distance freight delivery, route planning, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring safe and timely transportation of goods, with a focus on sustainability and energy transition efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver freight over long distances across the country
- Plan routes efficiently and ensure timely delivery
- Perform truck inspections before departure
- Document freight condition and inventory loads
- Secure freight and monitor its safe distribution during trips
- Supervise loading and unloading of freight and obtain client signatures
- Perform basic truck maintenance and service checks
- Log driving hours, distances, and expenses
- Communicate delays or issues to dispatchers
- Comply with federal and state trucking regulations
Requirements
- Applicable Commercial Driver's License Class A CDL
- Over 3 years of experience operating Dry Van and or Yard Goat vehicles
- Experience as a Long-Haul Truck Driver
- Knowledge of federal and state laws that regulate the road freight transport industry
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to bend, lift, and carry objects over 50 lbs
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs carrying weight
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
- Winter Driving experience is a must
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including climbing, standing, stooping, or typing
- Must be able to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job

Compensation will be commensurate with experience
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am to 3:30pm
