The Business Development Manager, Energy Storage is responsible for leading customer engagement and developing sales opportunities for utility-scale battery energy storage projects, working closely with clients and internal teams to translate technical requirements into commercial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a pipeline of BESS opportunities across various customer segments
Lead customer engagements from initial contact to contract execution
Support RFP responses, pricing development, and incentive strategy
Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and finance teams to define and deliver projects
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in BESS, utility-scale solar, or grid-connected energy systems in a sales capacity.
Proven success working directly with customers to scope, price, and close complex projects.
Familiarity with Investment Tax Credit (ITC) structuring and related incentive programs.
Proficiency in commercial pricing models and proposal documentation.
