Job Description

The Global Supply Chain Manager for Energy Storage at Redwood Materials is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement to support battery materials production, ensuring cost, quality, and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sourcing strategies for components
  • Lead supplier selection activities
  • Collaborate with engineering to understand key requirements for suppliers
  • Drive cost reduction and inventory management strategies
  • Manage supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and sustainability
  • Become subject matter expert for assigned components and technologies
  • Mitigate supply chain risks through cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, or economics
  • 5-7 years of supply chain experience
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, production workflows, and process improvement principles
  • Ability to interpret operational, technical, and financial data to support analysis and decision-making
  • Ability to develop a sourcing strategy for a given set of components
  • Ability to lead supplier selection activities
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering to understand key requirements that must be conveyed to potential suppliers
  • Ability to drive cost reduction and inventory management strategies that ensure availability of components while minimizing inventory carrying costs
  • Ability to manage supplier performance, including quality, on-time delivery, and sustainability
  • Ability to mitigate supply chain risks by working with cross-functional teams in engineering, logistics, finance, and quality
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards
  • Ability to work in challenging working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Full-time employment

Benefits & Perks

Compensation/salary range: $135,000 - $215,000 USD
Work environment perks: Split work environment between office and production facility, ability to work in challenging conditions with PPE, extended periods in production environment
Additional benefits: Full-time position, compensation commensurate with experience
